Group Fitness Open Day 2025

Interested in turning your passion for fitness into your dream career? Join us for the Group Fitness Open Day at Jellie Park Recreation and Sport Centre from 2 – 4pm Saturday. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the fitness industry and see if a fulfilling career as an instructor is right for you.

Beach Clean Up for Art

Help clean up South New Brighton Beach! SCAPE Public Art is organising a beach clean up as an extension of the environmental message in Kulimoe’anga Stone Maka’s sculpture, Pīngao, which is on display at the back of Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre.

Help SCAPE pick up wind blown litter and abandoned debris from 10.30am Saturday then celebrate with a bbq. Meet at Te Karoro Karoro Reserve, 375 Marine Parade.

Riverlution Yoga Fundraiser

Come along to Richmond Community Garden by the Riverlution Café on Sunday morning for a 45-minute yoga session. This session is a fundraiser for Riverlution Eco Park and costs $10. Each new session will help fund a different community project across the site.

Please bring your own yoga mat if possible. Come along from 8.15 – 9am.

South Christchurch farmers’ market

The South Christchurch farmers’ market is on this Sunday morning with fresh, quality local produce, breads, cheeses, free-range eggs, ready-to-eat food, drinks and more.

The market is nestled beside the river, behind the South Christchurch Library, and is on from 9am – Midday. 

Isleworth School Fair

Come along to the Isleworth School Fair for a fun-filled day with games, delicious food, live entertainment and more. Enjoy a variety of games, browse through market stalls and treat yourself to mouth-watering food from our delicious food stalls. 

There will be live entertainment showcasing talented performers plus plenty of fun activities to keep the whole family entertained. Isleworth School is located at 59A Farrington Avenue. The fair will be on from 11am - 3pm.
