There's still a lot to do around Christchurch this weekend whether you want to make a splash at our pools or settle in for some film and theatre.
Climb aboard this irreverent retelling of the iconic voyage of the RMS Titanic, set locally in Ōtautahi Christchurch. Anthony Harper Summer Theatre brings you a playful spin on a classic story, against the stunning backdrop of the Christchurch Botanical Gardens.
Local theatre company Rollicking Entertainment invites you to immerse yourself in the world of the RMS Titanic’s first journey. Three of Christchurch’s top improvisers will surge through the stories and lives of all aboard. All accompanied by a live musician on deck with a dramatic music score that’ll ensure this play is the king of the theatrical world.
Anthony Harper Summer Theatre is free to attend, but koha donations will be gratefully accepted by Rollicking Entertainment.
Audiences are encouraged to bring chairs, picnic blankets and food to enjoy during the show, whether it be economy or first-class-level dining. All ages are welcome, although these shows are best enjoyed by ages 12 years and over.
Evening shows begin at 7pm and weekend matinees are at 4pm. See the full performance schedule at What’s On.
