Walking events, book and clothing sales, the vibrant Nepal Festival and a vintage retro collectables fair - there's plenty to do in Christchurch this weekend.

Walking festival

Catch the last of the Christchurch Walking Festival with a raft of different walks around the city.

Walk the wild side of Sugarloaf, enjoy a nature walk through Waikakariki Horseshoe Lake or take your furry friend to the RedZone Dogs Richmond Walk.

Nepal Festival

Experience the vibrant heart of the Himalayas at the Nepal Festival, featuring a spectacular multicultural parade and immersive Mount Everest exhibitions that bring the "Roof of the World" to life.

Wander through authentic cultural stalls filled with traditional handcrafts and the aroma of Himalayan spices, while the stage stays alive with energetic cultural performances, including rhythmic folk dances and live musical bands.

Saturday from 11am-5pm at the Multicultural Recreation and Community Centre 455 Hagley Ave.

Antiques and vintage retro collectables fair

Come and explore over 40 displays of antiques and retro collectables at the fair.

There will be plenty on display with early Canterbury, pottery including Crown Lynn, studio artists, an array of poison, medical, soft drink and stoneware bottles, toys, Automobilia, kitchenalia, Art Glass and Uranium, Jewellery, money boxes and radios.

Lincoln Events Centre, 15 Meijer Drive, Lincoln. Bring cash as there will be no ATM on site, and not all traders have eftpos.

Rotary BOOKarama 2026

Celebrating its 20th year The Rotary Club of Bishopdale Burnside is holding its popular annual three-day book sale.

There’s a huge selection of books of all genres, DVDs and jigsaws.  Doors open at the Bishopdale Recreation Centre at 9am Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
