Celebrate Bishopdale 2025

Celebrate Bishopdale is back! Come together as a community to celebrate living in Bishopdale at this free, annual, family event. Enjoy a range of performances, stalls, activities and food. The event is held at Bishopdale Park and includes stage performances from local school groups, artists and organisations.

There will be information stalls, have-a-go activities, arts and crafts, and food for sale on the day. Head down to Bishopdale Park from 11am to 2pm to check it out.

Bishopdale Skate Jam

While you’re celebrating Bishopdale, pop over to the Bishopdale Skate Jam at the skate bowl! The Skate Jam is aimed at 8 – 15-year-olds, but also suitable for younger or older audiences and for the family to attend.

This ‘have a go’ youth skateboard event will have skate demonstrations, best trick comps, learn to skate with the Skate Skool team and free skateboard hire. Pop over from 11am to 2pm while you’re at Celebrate Bishopdale.

VIP Frames and Trusses Christmas Show Parade 2025

Head down to the Canterbury Agricultural Park on Sunday for the VIP Frames and Trusses Christmas Show Parade. This festival style event will have entertainment, an amusement park, a Christmas market, food vendors and large picnic areas for families to come and make a day of it.

Old favourites Cinderella, Superman, Alice in Wonderland, Mother Goose and Lord Lego-Tron will make an appearance, along with new floats the Princesses, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Beauty and the Beast and more. Come along from 11am – 4.30pm.

Christmas Encraftment Market 2025

It’s time for the Christmas Encraftment Market! Immerse yourself in a unique shopping experience where you can browse and purchase quality locally handmade items while enjoying delicious food and refreshments.

Discover talent of local artisans and craftspeople and take home a piece of creativity and craftsmanship. The market will be on at Pioneer Leisure Centre at 75 Lyttelton St from 10am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

Riverlution Farmers Market

Come and explore a selection of seasonal produce, artisan breads, and handcrafted treats, all created by local growers and makers, at the Riverlution Market.

Set in the heart of Richmond Community Garden, right by the new City to Sea Pathway and Avebury’s exciting new playground, come and support local sustainability, meet your neighbours, and enjoy a relaxing morning outdoors. The market will be on from 9am to 12.30pm Saturday.
