Children’s Day

Come together and celebrate Children's Day with fun interactive activities and entertainment, Sunday 11am-3pm at Cuthberts Green. Free children’s activities and entertainment include face painting, mini jeeps, pony rides, bouncy castles, barbers by YCD, crafts, stage performances and much more.

Lunar New Year Art Workshops

Christchurch Art Gallery is hosting Traditional Lunar New Year celebration workshops for all to enjoy. Join artists Monica Wang and Aubrey Xu at the gallery and create your spring couplet and paper cutting artwork and take them home with you. Sunday 1-3pm.

Swannanoa Country Fair

For a great day out with your family and friends head to Swannanoa Domain in North Canterbury for craft and trade stalls, a school plant stall, a massive white elephant sale, plenty of games and rides for the children, delicious food and refreshments and all-day entertainment.

The fair is a major fundraiser to help support Te Koromiko Swannanoa School. Sunday, 10am-3pm.

CLEO: The Last Queen of Egypt

A one-off fundraising concert celebrating a new musical by Christchurch composer Alexandra Hope Watson, exploring the life of Cleopatra VII. There’ll be a selection of songs by local singers offering an introduction to the stage work ahead of its planned season at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Piano, Saturday 5pm-6pm. Tickets from Humantix.

Riverlution Farmer’s Market

Come and explore a wonderful selection of seasonal produce, artisan breads, and handcrafted treats at the Riverlution Market, Saturday 9am-12.30pm. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music, set in the heart of Richmond Community Garden, right by the new City to Sea Pathway and Avebury’s exciting new playground.
