Pool Party - Summer Palooza

Round up your friends and whānau for an epic afternoon at Te Hāpua Halswell Summer Pool this Saturday.

Bounce, slip, slide, and splash on our slides, bouncy castles, GIANT inflatables, and obstacle course! Plus, enjoy face painting, and a free ice cream courtesy of our mates at Streets. Come along to Te Hāpua from midday to 5pm Saturday.

Manu Competition – Te Hāpua Halswell Summer Pool

The manu competition season is nearing its grand finale! Don’t miss your chance to join us for an epic showdown. Head over to Te Hāpua Halswell Summer Pool to show us what you’ve got from midday to 2pm Saturday.

Enter the manu competition in one of four categories. At the end of the competition season, the top three queens or kings of the manu will be awarded an official trophy and prizes. There will also be spot prizes up for grabs throughout the competition. The general pool admission price applies.

Stormwater Superheroes - Christchurch Envirokids

Become a Stormwater Superhero! Join us for an action-packed session all about stormwater and our urban waterways. Through games and interactive learning, discover how water moves through our neighbourhoods, meet the mighty tuna, and learn how superheroes like you can protect our streams.

Explore what stormwater is, how our everyday water use connects to drains and streams, and the simple choices we can make to keep pollution out of our waterways. Learn why healthy streams matter for people, plants, and animals. Get hands-on with the Tuna and Drains mat game and other fun activities as you play, explore, and uncover what helps keep our waterways clean and healthy. Head down to The Kiosk at the Botanic Gardens from 10am – 1pm Saturday.

SCAPE Public Art Walk

Discover new contemporary art outdoors on this guided walk with SCAPE Public Art. This year's theme is The Limits of Language. Start outside the Kilmore Street entrance to Hotel Montreal at 10.30am Sunday, and complete a walking tour featuring temporary art that’s installed in central Christchurch.

Hear the inside story about the artists, the theme, and how public art is made, and either head off from the Band Rotunda or return with the guide to Hotel Montreal. Find out more and register online.

Japan Market "Garage Sale"

Japan Market is back! After three years, the Japanese Garage Sale returns with lots of great finds. Don’t miss the chance to discover something special, head along to Ilam Primary School between 9.30am – 1pm Saturday to check it out.
